Use this sequence to organise the main decisions and filings before a Hong Kong company begins operating. Timing depends on document readiness, the business model and any sector-specific permissions.

1. Choose the structure. Compare a private company limited by shares with other available structures.
2. Prepare incorporation information. Confirm the name, registered office, company secretary, directors and shareholders.
3. File the incorporation application. Follow the official Companies Registry process and use the required forms.
4. Complete business registration and operating setup. Arrange accounting records, banking, licences and internal controls.
